The Sparks Heritage Museum hosts Andrew Russell present his new book, Like Friends, Like Foes: Japanese Americans and Nevada through World War II on Sunday, May 17th.

Listen to Andrew Russell discuss the Japanese American railroad and mining family’s wartime experiences in the greater Reno-Sparks area.

Celebrate Sparks!

4:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.                      Free Admission

As part of America 250 initiative, this event will include the big reveal of a new mural inside the Tony Armstrong Amphitheater by Ely-based artist Jamie Vincek! We’ll hear from the artist about what inspired the mural, enjoy live music, local vendors, food trucks, Great Basin beer, and free historical tours provided by the Sparks Heritage Museum.
