Lincoln Highway Association Present "Early Development of the Automobile", with Dr, Cathey. This  free program will be held on July 7th, at 2:00 pm at the Sparks Heritage Museum.   American automobiles and highways progressed at a rapid pace as Americans embraced the automobile life style from the mid-teens through the 1930s. Union Pacific is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike. Sparks Museum host event celebrating with the cities that grew up along the Transcontinental Route. Notable speakers will talk about the development of the rail line and the significant impact to the local cities. Ceremony will start at 1:30 pm with an exhibit and brief speech about the Transcontinental Railroad through Nevada.
