The Sparks Heritage Museum and Cultural Center presents Wendell Huffman and his inspiring lecture of "The Southern Pacific in the Truckee Meadows". Wendell Huffman is an acknowledged publisher and speaker regarding Nevada History and Railroad Research. This lecture series will explore the trail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and its history through Reno, Sparks and Truckee Meadows. Paddles & Palettes Exhibit

Discover dragon boat paddles reimagined by local artists! Featuring upcycled and repurposed dragon boat paddles transformed into works of art, this public art project raises awareness of Immunize Nevada's life-saving mission of promoting health and preventing disease, while celebrating the annual Northern Nevada International Dragon boat Festival and the ancient Chinese sport of dragon boat racing!
