Artist reception: July 18 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Join the 3rd Thursday crowd for a family-friendly evening featuring upcycled and repurposed Dragon Boat paddles transformed into works of art by local artists, along with photography by Ty O'Neil from This is Reno. The project raises awareness of Immunize Nevada's life-saving mission of promoting health and preventing disease, while celebrating the annual Northern Nevada International Dragon Boat Festival and the ancient Chinese sport of Dragon Boat racing. facebook event more »

Automotive Mascots

Through the month of August, Sparks Heritage Museum will display a unique collection of Automotive Mascots, known as hood ornaments. A spectacular exhibit from this private collection of vintage mascots from the past 60 years can be seen all month. These OEM “Original Equipment of Manufacturer” are from 1902 thru 1950’s and include both European and American.
