We were honored to host the Nevada Women’s History Project. They were great to look over the files that pertain to our local woman’s history and have them archived in their system. You can visit their site and find valuable information about Nevada culture and history that they have documented.
We are honored to be featured in the recent Sparks Tribune article. They capture our joy and excitement of the Last Chance Joe Plate going on sale December 18th in all Nevada DMV locations. Funds received from the sale of the plates goes to the Sparks Museum Foundation. Angela Crawford uses thoughtful words to express the trials of the this long awaited day. John Bryne of the Tribune took a captivating photo of Richard Dreiling holding the plate up for the viewers.
The Sparks Museum & Cultural Center held its first fundraiser in the “Building Steam” campaign on June 25. Local artist and museum board member Candace Nicol Garlock screen printed T-shirts with custom steampunk designs created by TMCC graphic communications students, and guests took part part in fun activities to benefit the Sparks Museum Endowment Fund.
The fundraiser kicked off a campaign to raise $10,000 by the end of 2016 for the museum’s newly established endowment fund. The principle amount in the fund is invested more »
